Hampshire's Home One-Day Cup Semi-Final Brought Forward
Hampshire's Royal London One-Day Cup semi-final has been brought forward to begin at 11am on Monday 18th June
The Royal London One-Day Cup semi final at the The Ageas Bowl on Monday 18th June between Hampshire and the winners of Thursday’s play-off between Essex and Yorkshire will now start at 11am, rather than 2pm as originally planned.
The change has been made to avoid a clash with the World Cup football match between England and Tunisia and followed a request from Hampshire Cricket to bring the start time forward, to which both the ECB and Sky were sympathetic.
The fixture will still be screened live on Sky Sports, and there will now be an hour of extra time, rather than 30 minutes as previously, with Tuesday 19th June set aside as a reserve day.
James Vince’s side secured a home tie – the first domestic knockout match to be staged at the The Ageas Bowl since 2013 – courtesy of topping the South Group.
Earlier this week, we announced that In recognition of the support given throughout this year's Royal London One-Day Cup tournament, all Hampshire Members are invited to attend the home semi-final fixture free of charge.
We hope Hampshire Members will help to fill the ground, as well as encouraging friends and family to also show their support by attending the match.
Tickets and hospitality packages for the huge match – the winner will reach a Lord’s final, the last to be staged at the Home of Cricket before the 50-over competition showpiece moves to Trent Bridge in 2019 – are on sale now and can be purchased online via the link below, over the phone or in person at the The Ageas Bowl.
Hampshire's clutch duo Ben Mayes (highest run-scorer) and Manny Lumsden (highest wicket-taker) have been named in the ICC Under-19 World Cup Team of the Tournament, selected by Ian Bishop, Lydia Greenway, Andy Flower and Telford Vice
The 10th edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup gets underway on 7 February, with Pakistan facing the Netherlands in the opening fixture. The tournament will be hosted across India and Sri Lanka, with the final set to take place on 8 March.
