In preparation for the 2024 season, Hampshire will play in three two-day friendly matches at the end of March
Ahead of their opening match of the 2024 season against Durham, starting on Friday 5th April, Hampshire will play three two-day pre-season friendlies at the end of March. They will welcome Middlesex (Thursday 21st & Friday 22nd) and Worcestershire (Monday 25th & Tuesday 26th) to Utilita Bowl, before travelling to the 1st Central County Ground to take on Sussex (Friday 29th & Saturday 30th).
The friendlies provide the Hampshire squad with an opportunity to prepare ahead of the start of the County Championship season.
Middlesex were relegated from Division One last season and will begin their 2024 season against Glamorgan at Lord’s in Division Two. Sussex also remain in Division Two, having finished third last time out, and kickstart their red-ball campaign at home against Northamptonshire.
Meanwhile, Worcestershire were promoted in 2023, meaning they will join Hampshire in Division One this season. They take on Warwickshire at Edgbaston in the opening round of County Championship matches.
Fans will be able to attend Utilita Bowl for Hampshire’s friendlies against Middlesex and Worcestershire for free, with no tickets required to gain entry.

Hampshire begin their 2024 County Championship campaign with a trip to newly promoted Durham, before welcoming Lancashire to Utilita Bowl for their first home match of the season.
James Vince's side will play a total of 14 matches - seven home and seven away - from April to September, finishing their season with a trip to the Cooper Associates County Ground to take on Somerset.
