Keeper-batter Joseph Eckland and all-rounder Daisy Mullan will leave Hampshire Cricket on the expiration of their contracts
Hartley Wintney Cricket Club extends a warm invitation to Hampshire supporters and cricket lovers everywhere as we host Hampshire in our annual charity/benefit match.
The historic ground has seen cricket played there since 1770 and this Friday 27th July, sees James Vince bring a Hampshire team featuring many of his Royal London Cup winning side to the Green.
The Hampshire squad includes Liam Dawson, Chris Wood, Tom Alsop, Colin Munro, Jimmy Adams and Kyle Abbott. Also representing Hampshire will be two of the recent County Championship winning Hampshire Women’s team, Ella Chandler and Emily Windsor, who will also be coaching a group of Hartley Wintney’s own girls section before the charity T20 match starts at 2:30pm.
During the mid-innings break, one of the world's most decorated and successful cricketers of all time, Charlotte Edwards CBE, will also be holding a Q&A with Shaun Udal in the main marquee.
Admission for the charity fixture is free, although the event is being held to raise funds for Hampshire’s official charity, Hampshire Cricket in the Community which supports cricket development initiatives across the county as well as a host of community wellbeing programmes, especially helping to reduce the levels of chilldhood obesity.
