Hampshire players selected in England Women Pathway squads
England Women have announced the Performance Programme intake U19 Training squad for the 2025/26 winter, with a total of five Hampshire players included.
Ian Holland has recently returned from international duty where he represented USA in three ICC Cricket World Cup League matches (50-over) in Aberdeen – one against United Arab Emirates (UAE) before back-to-back games against Scotland.
In the USA’s clash with UAE, Hampshire’s all-rounder took one wicket from his seven overs, before making a run-a-ball 30 runs to help the US to a one wicket victory with just five balls remaining.
Then came two clashes with Scotland. After the first ended in defeat for Holland and USA, he came to life with the ball in the second game recording figures of 3-28 from his ten overs – including two wickets in his first over – as his side won by two wickets from the penultimate ball.
Eligible to play for the USA after he was born in Wisconsin, the 31-year-old made his debut in December 2019 and has gone on to make 17 appearances in both IT20s and ODIs.
Following his endeavours for his country, Holland has now returned to Hampshire and is in the squad for the Royal London Cup match against Glamorgan at Neath on Friday 19th August.
