Hampshire Cricket has agreed for all-rounder Ian Holland to join Northamptonshire on a loan deal for the remainder of the 2019 Royal London One-Day Cup competition.
The 28-year-old will be available for Northants' remaining 50-over fixtures, beginning with their match against Worcestershire on Friday 26th April.
Born in the United States, but a British passport holder, Holland made his first appearance for Hampshire First XI in 2017 having represented the Second XI side in previous seasons. The all-rounder earned debuts in all three formats during his first season and made key contributions, particularly in the Specsavers County Championship where he claimed 19 first-class wickets at an average of just 21.89, whilst also adding valuable middle-order runs.
A shoulder injury suffered whilst in Australia last winter prevented him from lining up for James Vince’s side to begin the summer, however Holland returned to feature in seven four-day contests during the final months of the season, contributing 15 wickets at an average of just 25.93 to help Hampshire secure a fifth-place finish in Division One.
