Southern Vipers can confirm that Tash Farrant will miss the remainder of the 2018 Kia Super League due to injury.
Farrant, who tops the list of Vipers' wicket-takers so far this summer, sustained a fractured collarbone whilst fielding during her side’s match against Loughborough Lightning at Loughborough last Saturday, and will have surgery today (Tuesday 7th August).
Hampshire all-rounder Emily Windsor has been drafted in to take the vacant place in the squad and will be available for selection for the final four group-stage fixtures.
Tash will be a big loss to the squad having performed well this campaign, and we all wish her a speedy recovery.
Nick Denning, Southern Vipers Head Coach
We have added Emily Windsor to our squad in Tash’s place. Emily has had a strong year for Hampshire and she will bring a lot of energy to the group as an all-rounder on and off the pitch - she has been training with us in the early part of the tournament and will fit in perfectly with the squad.
