To mark the upcoming closure of the ticket ballot for 2023's ODIs at The Ageas Bowl - the free-to-enter ballot closes at 11:59pm on Tuesday 18th October - we're looking back at some of the most notable international match to have taken place at The Ageas Bowl over the years.

Next is the ODI between England and West Indies in 2017.

With England already possessing an unattainable 3-0 series lead, Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Chris Gayle got West Indies off to a flier, hitting 40 from just 29 balls, including six maximums.

Shai Hope top scored for the visitors with 72 as the West Indies posted a competitive 288/6 from their 50 overs.

The target was no challenge for England in the end, with Jason Roy (96) and Johnny Bairstow (141*) taking the tourists bowling to all parts of The Ageas Bowl. Joe Root hit the winning runs with 12 overs to spare for the hosts.
