Australian Duo Neser And Lehmann Join Hampshire For 2026
Australian all-rounder Michael Neser and batter Jake Lehmann join Hampshire for the 2026 season
Ireland fast-bowler Craig Young is joining Hampshire on a short-term loan deal.
The 26 year-old right-arm bowler joins the club on a short-term loan deal and he will have the opportunity to impress in Hampshire’s Second XI Championship match against Somerset at the The Ageas Bowl, starting on Monday.
Craig comes as a recommendation from Ireland Head Coach John Bracewell and in light of the current injury problems we have, this gives us a good opportunity to take a closer look at him.

Young was previously on the books at Sussex and has won 31 caps for Ireland taking 58 wickets at an average of just 22.83, including a five wicket haul on his one-day international debut against Scotland in 2014.
Hampshire’s current injury crisis includes fast-bowler Fidel Edwards, who suffered a fractured ankle at Headingley this week whilst fellow seamers Reece Topley, Gareth Berg and Ryan Stevenson are all still not available for selection due to injury.
