Southern Brave 2026 Fixtures
The Hundred returns on Tuesday, 21st July, with Southern Brave playing their first match on Wednesday, 22nd July, in front of a home crowd at Utilita Bowl.
Hampshire’s new signing Jake Lehmann admitted he’s shocked but honoured to be acknowledged for his performances in First Class and One Day Cup cricket with Australia’s Domestic Cricket Player of the Year award for 2025.
His contributions in Sheffield Shield’s first title since 1995/96 were impossible to overlook, with his prolific batting in the calendar year seeing Lehmann reach 855 first-class runs in 47.5 overs including five centuries. In One Day Cup cricket, Lehmann scored 237 runs in just under 40 overs. Lehmann joins his father Darren (2000, 2001, 2002), Michael Klinger (2009, 2010) and Travis Head (2022) among the list of South Australian winners of the award, and was grateful for the acknowledgement.
“It was a little bit of a shock. I felt like I've been playing some really good cricket in the last 18 months, so to get recognised by people that you're playing against and your peers is always something special and I'm grateful for the acknowledgement.

"I feel like as a group we've played some really nice cricket, and that's helped me a lot in being able to play the way that I would like to play. I've played the last couple of years with a smile on my face, enjoying myself and probably playing cricket the right way.
"Over my career, I've looked up to these players and aspire to be these players. I've tried to copy a few things that those players have done over the years, so, to have my name against their names and be acknowledged in that way is just an honour.”
Cricket Australia CEO Todd Greenberg heaped the praise on Hampshire’s new signing.
“Jake has been a fantastic contributor to South Australia’s recent success and is one of the players who helps make our domestic competitions the best in world cricket.”

Left-hand batter Lehmann joined Hampshire on a two-year deal last month alongside fellow Australian player Michael Neser, who will make his return to Utilita Bowl when the season commences in the Rothesay County Championship against Essex on Friday 3rd April. Lehmann, who holds a British passport and can therefore be categorised as a domestic player, will feature across all formats of cricket at Utilita Bowl, whereas Neser will feature in the opening six County Championship games prior to the Vitality Blast.
