Utilita Bowl is on a mission to become the world's greenest international cricket stadium. Home to some of England's most successful cricket teams as well as Hilton Southampton - Utilita Bowl, eforea spa, Boundary Lakes Golf Course, Hampshire Wellbeing Centre and BEEFY's Restaurant.

Utilita Bowl is the home of Hampshire Cricket and Southern Brave, whilst also being a host venue for England Cricket internationals.

In 2024, Hampshire Cricket finished second in the Vitality County Championship, reached the knock-out stage of the Metro Bank One Day Cup and hosted seven action-packed Vitality Blast fixtures as Hampshire Hawks.

Southern Vipers went into their final season as the ‘Vipers’, reaching both Charlotte Edwards Cup and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy semi-finals.

Southern Brave Men finished Runners-Up in The Hundred after hosting four spectacular double header matchdays at Utilita Bowl with the Women’s side in July & August.

Both England Men & Women hosted sold-out IT20 cricket at the venue based just outside Southampton. England Women welcomed New Zealand, before England Men hosted Ashes rivals Australia.

In 2025, England return for three international fixtures, including Men's fixtures against West Indies and South Africa, as well as England Women hosting India.

James Vince Joins Sydney Thunder

The Hampshire captain will join the Big Bash side for the remainder of this year's competition

Hampshire's James Vince has signed for Australian Big Bash franchise, Sydney Thunder, for the remainder of the 2016/17 T20 competition.

Vince joins the BBL reigning champions as a replacement for Eoin Morgan who departs to captain England's limited-overs series' against India.

The right-hander will arrive in Sydney this week and will be available for selection following Morgan's final Thunder appearance against Melbourne Stars on Thursday (5th January).

This is a great opportunity for James to play in one of the leading tournaments in the world and it'll be great for him to show what he can do on the big stage.

I’ve watched the tournament back home over the past two or three years - the tournament has grown each year and it’s right up there as one of the best competitions in the world. I spoke with Eoin about the possibility of playing out here when we were at the World T20 earlier last year and luckily I’ve gotten the opportunity.

The Thunder, who claimed last year's crown following a three-wicket win over Melbourne Stars in the competition final, are led by Australian all-rounder Shane Watson.

Vince joins fellow Hampshire batsman George Bailey (Hobart Hurricanes) as the club's representatives in this year's tournament.
