The Ageas Bowl, the iconic home of Hampshire Cricket located on the outskirts of Southampton, is looking to recruit a key asset to its IT Department.

The world-class venue, defined by its contemporary architecture, is set in 150 acres of landscaped grounds and is serviced by excellent transport links. A truly exceptional multi-purpose venue, it is capable of hosting events spanning from large regional exhibitions to intimate corporate breakfast meetings and almost any bespoke event in between, from exhibitions to intimate corporate breakfast meetings and almost any bespoke event in between.

The below is a very diverse role and requires an individual who is capable of working on software support requests one moment and multi-faceted conference equipment the next.

Job Description

The AV Support Technician will work with the IT Team at The Ageas Bowl. They will provide front line computer and audio-visual support to all staff and visitors. The services provided to staff include assistance with well-known desktop applications such as Microsoft Office; specialist packages for our Ticketing, Turnstile and CRM platforms; support for hardware projectors and audio-visual equipment; and Apple and Windows based hardware/software.

This position requires hands-on experience across a wide IT scope. From PC hardware, AV infrastructure (hardware and software), AV/VC support experience (including installation, configuration and troubleshooting of devices), IT infrastructure (hardware and software), software and O/S support experience (including installation, configuration and troubleshooting).

Job Purpose

• Provide professional, effective, knowledgeable and rapid Audio-Visual (AV) and IT support to staff and clients as required.
• Triage, resolve or escalate support calls within agreed timescales using the ticketing solution.
• Provide support for the operation and maintenance of the IT Network Infrastructure
• Provide support for the operation and maintenance of AV equipment in the venue.
• Provide support for events and matchdays, including setting up and operating equipment.
• Procurement, inventory and asset management of AV/IT equipment as well as AV/IT lifecycle.
