Utilita Bowl are seeking a Physiotherapist for the Men's team to provide high-quality physiotherapy support across Hampshire's professional and academy cricket programmes.
Men's Team Physiotherapist
The Role
The purpose of this role is to provide high-quality physiotherapy support across Hampshire's professional and academy cricket programmes, delivered by an HCPC-registered MSK physiotherapist with strong clinical reasoning and rehabilitation expertise.
Key responsibilities:
Provide high-quality in-season physiotherapy support for first and second team fixtures and training sessions, as well as academy training.
Assess and treat all musculoskeletal cricket-related injuries.
Lead the design and delivery of rehabilitation of all academy players whilst assisting with any required rehabilitation needs within the professionally contracted squad.
Communicate clearly both internally within our immediate Science and Medicine team as well as to the wider support group, including coaches and other key stakeholders.
Assist and conduct physical profiling for all professionally contracted and academy players.
Be familiar with and develop monitoring and injury prevention systems.
Assist in the effective remote management of players on franchise and international duty in combination with other third-party medical teams.
Contribute towards departmental emergency care in-season mandatory training.
Hours: Working hours are varied, and there is an expectation that the role holder will be available for some evenings, weekends, and bank holidays to meet the needs of the cricket schedule.
Salary: £20,000 - £35,000pa, permanent full-time contract dependent on experience.
Location: Utilita Bowl, Botley Road, West End, Southampton, SO30 3XH - with travel required for training sessions and match days.
