Utilita Bowl is on a mission to become the world's greenest international cricket stadium. Home to some of England's most successful cricket teams as well as Hilton Southampton - Utilita Bowl, eforea spa, Boundary Lakes Golf Course, Hampshire Wellbeing Centre and BEEFY's Restaurant.

Utilita Bowl is the home of Hampshire Cricket and Southern Brave, whilst also being a host venue for England Cricket internationals.

In 2024, Hampshire Cricket finished second in the Vitality County Championship, reached the knock-out stage of the Metro Bank One Day Cup and hosted seven action-packed Vitality Blast fixtures as Hampshire Hawks.

Southern Vipers went into their final season as the ‘Vipers’, reaching both Charlotte Edwards Cup and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy semi-finals.

Southern Brave Men finished Runners-Up in The Hundred after hosting four spectacular double header matchdays at Utilita Bowl with the Women’s side in July & August.

Both England Men & Women hosted sold-out IT20 cricket at the venue based just outside Southampton. England Women welcomed New Zealand, before England Men hosted Ashes rivals Australia.

In 2025, England return for three international fixtures, including Men's fixtures against West Indies and South Africa, as well as England Women hosting India.

Job Vacancy: Part-Time Mascot

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to be 'Roary the Lion'

Hampshire Cricket are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individual to be ‘Roary The Lion’, our club mascot for selected home NatWest T20 Blast Fixtures. The desired candidate will be required to greet visitors at the gate, assist with on pitch activation as well as contributing to generating crowd excitement during each match.

The desired candidate will also have the following qualities:

Previous mascot experience (preferred)
Background in acting (preferred)
Larger than life personality
Between the height of 5’9 and 6’1
All candidates will be required to have a DBS check
Availability for all of the following NatWest T20 Blast Fixtures: 2^nd June and 14^th, 22^nd, 29^th July (5pm – 10pm)

Alongside these dates there will be other more hours available through Hampshire in the Community on such occasions as school visits and presentations.
