Job Purpose
To lead in the delivery of Southern Vipers, Hampshire Cricket women’s squad and associated development pathway. Assist in the delivery of strength and conditioning services across Hampshire Crickets boy’s development pathways as coordinated by the Head of Strength and Conditioning and Directors’ of Cricket.
Key Responsibilities
Maximise Southern Vipers professional player’s availability to train and play optimally all year round through the provision of innovative/objectively led physical development programmes. Where appropriate develop this as part of the wider SS&M team in conjunction with ECB recommendations.
Lead the delivery of S&C to Hampshire Crickets Development Women’s Pathway (Academy, Elite Player Programme, Girl’s Age Groups & Young Vipers Squad) as directed by the ECB, Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach & Overseen by Head of S&C.
Assist with the delivery of S&C support to Hampshire Crickets Boys Age Groups & Development Squads when required.
Deliver a minimum of two performance testing batteries a year for all Development players and squads in line with ECB and Hampshire Crickets testing guidelines. From this provide reports to Director of Women’s Cricket, relevant coaches and Head of S&C.
Design and develop innovative, appropriate and objectively led physical development programmes for each player. Align this with the overall Physical Performance Strategy set out by Head of S&C.
Maintain up to date records for all Development players including training adherence, physical performance data and workload data. Use this to inform player programming/management with the wider SS&M team and Development Coaches.
Assist with the maintenance of Hampshire Cricket performance gym. This includes tidiness, gym environment and maintenance/repair of kit.

The successful candidates will be expected to contribute to an ongoing programme of personal and professional development, to include a contribution to potential in-house research and development activities. They should have an appreciation of the scientific underpinnings of team sports, and the capacity to deliver practical sessions in an individual and a group environment. Most importantly, they should possess a strong team and work ethic and be flexible with hours mid-week and weekends.
