Hampshire Cricket are advertising for an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Strength & Conditioning Coach to join the Club's Sports Science and Medical Department for the 2018-2019 pre-season period.

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to lead Southern Vipers, Hampshire Cricket’s Women’s Performance pathway and support delivery to the male development programme

Job Title:                               Strength & Conditioning Coach

Date:                                     17th November 2018 - 8th April 2019

Employment:                         Part Time (20-25 hours) fixed term contract with further potential opportunities


Job Purpose

To lead in the delivery of Southern Vipers, Hampshire Cricket women’s squad and associated development pathway. Assist in the delivery of strength and conditioning services across Hampshire Crickets boy’s development pathways as coordinated by the Head of Strength and Conditioning and Directors’ of Cricket.

England Cricket Board, Director of Women’s Cricket, Director of Men’s Cricket, Head of S&C, Assistant S&C, Lead Physiotherapist, Assisting Physiotherapists, Development Groups Coaches, Age Group Head Coaches and S&C Placement Students.


The successful candidates will be expected to contribute to an ongoing programme of personal and professional development, to include a contribution to potential in-house research and development activities. They should have an appreciation of the scientific underpinnings of team sports, and the capacity to deliver practical sessions in an individual and a group environment. Most importantly, they should possess a strong team and work ethic and be flexible with hours mid-week and weekends.
