Join our new matchday volunteering team and play your part in further enhancing spectator experience at The Ageas Bowl this summer.
We are looking for dependable people to welcome and support spectators at The Ageas Bowl in a variety of ways and across a range of events. You don’t need to have previous experience or knowledge of cricket, just a willingness to support and engage with others. Volunteering with us is a great way to make new friends, enjoy quality cricket, give back to your community and become part of the wider Hampshire family.
Our volunteers will form a friendly and committed team of individuals who share a passion for bringing people together in the spirit of cricket.
Our matchday team will:
Provide a first-class welcome to spectators arriving at the The Ageas Bowl on matchdays and other big events
Be a noticeable point of information before, during and after events at the ground and transport links
Direct spectators to the venue from local public transport hubs
Answer supporter questions regarding access, seating, food & drink and general facilities
Support visitors with mobility and access requirements
Inform supporters of future match and events information
Ensure supporters are happy and guided when leaving the venue
Assist with other duties assigned by the Volunteer Co-ordinator on the day
We are looking for people with:
An understanding of the importance of volunteering
A willingness to support others
Excellent time keeping and reliability
Excellent conversational and communication skills
An ability to remain calm and collected under pressure
Must haves:
At least 16 years of age
Available to volunteer for a minimum of three event days - see dates below.
