English singer-songwriter Lauran Hibberd has been unveiled as the headline music act of The Hundred at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton on 11 August, home of newly formed cricket team Southern Brave.
The ground will also see other artists taking to the stage during the competition, including Martha Gunn for Southern Brave's first home matchday on 30 July, Baby Queen on 7 August and Coach Party on 16 August. The acts are sure to bring high-energy entertainment to The Hundred – a new fast-paced 100-ball cricket competition which starts on 21 July, just as Covid-19 restrictions are due to lift.
Thanks to an unprecedented collaboration between The Hundred and BBC Music, there will be live music and DJs at each of the 64 games across the UK, meaning the entertainment off the pitch will match the action on it.
Combining world-class fast-paced cricket, with top quality live music, The Hundred will bring entertainment to the whole family this summer, with tickets selling fast.
Music is integral to The Hundred’s match day experience, keeping fans on the edge of their seats. The line-up of music talent comes as part of The Hundred’s ambition to throw cricket’s doors open to broader audiences this summer, welcoming in families and inspiring the next generation to say that cricket is a game for them.
Ahh I’m super stoked to be headlining The Ageas Bowl for The Hundred, playing live is the best thing EVER, especially at an event which is pretty ground-breaking in sport and entertainment!

The Hundred kicked off with a standalone women’s match between the Oval Invincibles and the Manchester Originals – making history as the first major UK team sport to do so. The competition will ensure men’s and women’s cricket is played on a shared platform, with equal prize money and a host of female cricket players and artists taking centre stage, broadcast live across Sky and the BBC.
Featuring some of the best players from around the world competing in eight new city-based teams across England and Wales, The Hundred will see men’s and women’s competitions running alongside one another.
Tickets are great value for money: £5 for under 16s with adult tickets starting at £10, under-fives go free. Aside from the first two games, tickets give you the chance to see a women’s and men’s game. Refund policies will be in place should matches be affected by Covid.
