Joseph Eckland And Daisy Mullan Released
Keeper-batter Joseph Eckland and all-rounder Daisy Mullan will leave Hampshire Cricket on the expiration of their contracts
Hampshire’s Liam Dawson has made an instant impact whilst on loan to Essex, playing a big part in helping his side secure an excellent LV= County Championship victory over Glamorgan by 248 runs.
On his home debut for Essex, the 25-year old put on a stand of 237 with Nick Browne to help the home side pile on the pressure to Glamorgan by eventually reaching 344-4 in their second innings.
Dawson fell just one short of his first century of the season during his 201-ball stay at the crease, hitting 8 fours and 1 six.
With ten wickets to get on the final day, the left-arm spinner then picked up the important wicket of Glamorgan opener Will Bragg (22) and David Lloyd (13) as Essex dismissed the visitors to 213 to keep their hopes of promotion alive.
All-rounder Liam Dawson is currently on a month’s loan at Esssex and will return to the The Ageas Bowl at the end of July.
