Joseph Eckland And Daisy Mullan Released
Keeper-batter Joseph Eckland and all-rounder Daisy Mullan will leave Hampshire Cricket on the expiration of their contracts
World Cup winner and Chance to Shine charity ambassador Charlotte Edwards has been touring local clubs to encourage girls to take up cricket.
Edwards, who also plays for the Southern Vipers and Hampshire Women, umpired matches at Gosport Schools Kwik Cricket Festival and presented medals before heading to girls' training at Langley Manor.
The New Forest club have entered an all girls team into the (mostly boys') 8-a-side under 9 league, and the squad is now 15-strong.
Fun, skills and games on Tuesdays in August, Southern Vipers Summer Camps suit girls of all experience levels.
To have Charlotte available for the day was fantastic! She's played at the very top and is a real inspiration. More girls and women are playing cricket and it's great to see fantastic work by clubs to give the girls matches.
