Glamorgan are one of just two teams in the South Division to never have won the Vitality Blast and are the only side to have never qualified for the final. The Welsh side’s last trip to Finals Day came in 2017, but in recent seasons they have shown that they have the ability to make it to the knockout stages. Last year Glamorgan started with four wins out of their first five matches before a long injury list meant they fell away, winning just one more match before the end of the group stage.
So far in 2024, they have recorded two wins and two defeats from their opening four matches, with the highlight coming in their 25-run victory over Sussex Sharks. Colin Ingram and Sam Northeast have both recorded two half-centuries in the competition so far, while skipper Kiran Carlson, wicket-keeper Chris Cooke and Australian Test batter Marnus Labuschagne further strengthen the batting line-up. With the ball, on loan Hawks spinner Mason Crane leads the way with ten wickets already but is unavailable due to loan rules. Timm van der Gutgen, Jamie McIlroy and Dan Douthwaite are also dangerous options in Glamorgan's attack.
