After winning the South Division, Hampshire 2nd XI will play the North Division Champions Lancashire in a crucial Championship play-off at Newclose, Isle of Wight, starting tomorrow.
Hampshire Squad:
Hampshire have named a 12-man squad for the clash on the Isle of Wight, with Chris Wood captaining the side in the absence of Will Smith. Calvin Dickinson and Brad Wheal return from their spell with the first-team at T20 Finals Day whilst there are also opportunities for Matt Salisbury and Asher Hart.
The Opposition:
Lancashire 2nd XI have had a strong Championship campaign, finishing top of an extremely tight North Group, suffering just one defeat in the process. Led by the in-form batsman Rob Jones, the Red Rose have some key players, with the likes of Aaron Lilley, Simon Kerrigan, Haseeb Hameed and Shivnarine Chanderpaul featuring for the county this season.
