Match Preview: Hampshire Hawks v Essex Eagles, Vitality Blast
A 14-player squad has been named as the Hawks welcome Essex Eagles to The Ageas Bowl in the Vitality Blast
Hawks v Essex Eagles Vitality Blast Friday 23rd June (7pm Start) The The Ageas Bowl
Hampshire Hawks return to The Ageas Bowl for their final three Vitality Blast group stage matches, the first of which comes against Essex Eagles on Friday night.
The Hawks came out on top when the two met earlier this season, thanks to a memorable century from skipper James Vince.
That defeat is just one of three that the Eagles have suffered this year, as they currently occupy third spot having won five of their previous six matches.
Three defeats in the last four games has slowed the Hawks’ momentum down, however they still sit fourth and will be hoping to return to winning ways as they hunt down a quarter-final spot.

A 14-player squad has been named for the Hawks’ Vitality Blast match against Essex Eagles.
In Tuesday’s DLS defeat to Gloucestershire, Ross Whiteley made his highest score since joining the Hawks of 41 not out, while Toby Albert and Joe Weatherley made scores in the thirties.
John Turner and Liam Dawson took the only wickets taking their totals up to 12 apiece.
