Hawks v Worcestershire Rapids
Vitality Blast
Friday 7th July (7pm Start)
The The Ageas Bowl
Hampshire Hawks welcome Worcestershire Rapids to The Ageas Bowl in the Vitality Blast quarter-final on Friday night.
It is the Hawks’ first home quarter-final since they defeated Lancashire in 2013 and a win would see them qualify for a record tenth Finals Day.
This will be just the second meeting between Hampshire and Worcestershire in T20s, after the 2015 quarter-final at New Road where a James Vince ton guided his side to victory.
The Hawks booked their place in the quarter-final with victory over Gloucestershire in their final game and, following Surrey’s defeat to Essex, secured second place with 18 points from their 14 matches.
Meanwhile, Worcestershire Rapids finished third in the North Group with 17 points, having overcome Derbyshire in their last group match.
Hampshire Squad
A 15-player squad has been named for the Hawks’ Vitality Blast quarter-final against Worcestershire Rapids.
Skipper James Vince took his run total up to 638 as he recorded another half-century during the win over Gloucestershire. He is now just 40 runs short of his total from 2022 which saw him crowned the leading scorer.
The Hawks’ bowling attack once again showed their quality last time out as Gloucestershire were skittled for just 105. John Turner and Chris Wood took 3-15 and 3-18 respectively – their best figures so far this season.
