Rothesay County Championship
Friday 18-Monday 21st April (11am start)
Utilita Bowl
Hampshire Men take on Somerset in the third round of fixtures in the Rothesay County Championship.
The Rose and Crown took 11 points home from the Kia Oval where they drew with Surrey, needing 78 runs from ten overs in the fading light to secure an unlikely victory.
Nick Gubbins and Toby Albert stood firm with the bat, scoring 117 and 78* respectively whilst Sonny Baker claimed his first County Championship five-for with Brad Wheal also taking four in the first innings.
Somerset failed to win their first two games, with a thrilling draw against Worcestershire, when Tom Banton scored a record 371, and a heavy defeat to Division Two champions Sussex.
The Wyverns will be eager to put things right this Easter weekend at Utilita Bowl.
Hampshire Squad
Hampshire have named a 13-player squad for their opening match of the 2025 County Championship.
Ali Orr's removal is the only change to the squad that drew with Surrey at the Kia Oval in the previous round of fixtures.

Bridesmaids but never the brides for Somerset, as they continue their quest for a maiden County Championship title.
