Hampshire Men face Yorkshire in the opening round of the 2025 Rothesay County Championship.
Ben Brown will lead his side out for the first time in the competition on Friday 4th April against a Yorkshire side expected to field England stars, including Jonny Bairstow.
The Rose and Crown recorded their best finish in the competition since 2005 last summer, whilst Yorkshire also finished in second place and earned promotion to Division One, along with Sussex.

Hampshire Men have named a 13-player squad for their opening match of the 2025 County Championship.
Mark Stoneman and Brett Hampton are set to make the competitive debuts for the club, whilst Sonny Baker could earn his first red ball cap for the Rose and Crown after debuting for Hampshire in the Global Super League in October.

16 years on from making his debut for the White Rose, Jonny Bairstow was appointed as Yorkshire’s red ball captain ahead of the 2025 season.
The destructive wicket keeper-batter is set to feature for the whole season as England look to the future and is part of a strong top order with openers Adam Lyth and Finlay Bean, and another ex-England player in Dawid Malan.
Ben Coad was the leading wicket taker in Division Two last year, with 56 wickets in 12 matches, with all-rounder Jordan Thompson the next best with 37.
