From The Archive | Episode 1: The Move To The Rose Bowl
As we celebrate 25 Years of The Bowl, we uncover the stories behind the venue’s journey.
Hampshire Squad:
Hampshire make one addition to the 13-man squad that featured in Wednesday’s convincing four-wicket victory over Somerset at Taunton.
Ian Holland returns to the squad after having a magnificent game for Hampshire Second XI earlier this week – the all-rounder claimed nine wickets whilst also contributing a superb 198 runs against Essex Second XI.
Rilee Rossouw and Fidel Edwards are available once again for the home-side after making their return from injury last time out.
The Opposition:
Glamorgan, led by Jacques Rudolph, made an electric start to their Royal London One-Day Cup campaign in 2016. They fired off three consecutive victories before an indifferent finish saw them narrowly miss out on qualification for the knock-out stages.
Glamorgan currently find themselves in eighth place in the South Group this season, the visitors having claimed two wins from their six encounters so far.
Recent Form:
Hampshire claimed victory by a whopping 186 runs when these side’s last met in the 50-over competition in July last year. Liam Dawson struck a remarkable 100* in that clash, whilst Gareth Berg also claimed 4-25 from his allotted overs.
