Hampshire welcome newly promoted Nottinghamshire to The Ageas Bowl for their first LV= Insurance County Championship fixture of the 2023 campaign this week.
James Vince’s side pushed Surrey all the way in 2022 before finishing in third place, their highest finish since 2008. They will be look to start their campaign strongly as they chase down a first County Championship title since 1973.
Meanwhile, Nottinghamshire won Division Two last year meaning they will be back in the top flight this summer.
Hampshire Squad
Hampshire have named a 14-player squad for the 2023 curtain raiser.
Liam Dawson is involved after recovering from an injury, while skipper James Vince is also back in the squad.
Overseas star Mohammad Abbas makes his return to the squad, re-joining Kyle Abbott and Keith Barker in leading the side’s bowling attack.
