Hampshire begin their Royal London Cup campaign on Friday, welcoming Worcestershire Rapids to The Ageas Bowl.

The two sides met in last year’s competition, with Hampshire winning by six wickets.

However, the Rapids finished the group stage in fifth place in 2021 – a place higher than Hampshire, as both sides failed to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.

Hampshire have named a 12-player squad for the match.

Nick Gubbins takes charge as skipper of the side in the absence of James Vince.

With a number of other players involved in The Hundred, a number of  younger players have a chance to impress in the First XI.
