Hampshire Squad:
Rilee Rossouw (finger) and Fidel Edwards (hamstring) are unavailable for this fixture due to injury, however Reece Topley and Tom Alsop are included within the 12-man squad.
Topley returns to the fold after recovering from multiple injuries sustained over the past 12-months, and the seamer could bowl for Hampshire for the first time in a first-class fixture if selected in the final XI.
Alsop comes into the squad in place of Rossouw, with the England Lions batsman available for selection after enjoying a busy winter overseas with the Lions and as part of the ECB’s North v South series.
Mason Crane is included within the squad once again, following an impressive five-wicket haul for Hampshire’s Second XI in their most recent fixture against Surrey Second XI.
The Opposition:
England’s Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow are both available for Yorkshire having previously been made unavailable for previous four-day fixtures after busy winters with the national side.
Fellow England duo, David Willey and Adil Rashid, have also been named in the visitors’ 13-man squad, however Gary Ballance’s side are still without Ryan Sidebottom, Jack Brooks and Liam Plunkett who miss out again due to injury.

Had we been offered the start that we’ve had at the start of the year we would have taken it with both hands.
Yorkshire had a good win (against Warwickshire) and they’ll be gunning for us after the result at Headingley so we’ll have a couple of days’ good rest and prepare to make sure we’re ready for another tough game on Friday.
