Hampshire travel to Manchester to take on Lancashire as the latest four-day fixture starts on Monday
Hampshire are quickly back in Specsavers County Championship action on Monday as James Vince’s side head to Manchester to take on Lancashire in the latest four-day match-up.
Hampshire Squad:
A 14-man squad has been named for this week’s fixture at Old Trafford, with Rilee Rossouw in contention to feature after missing out on this week’s match due to a facial injury suffered in Hampshire’s One-Day Cup semi-final win last Monday.
Sean Ervine and Ryan Stevenson are the other two players included in the travelling party alongside 10 of the 11 that featured in this week’s draw against Yorkshire. Dale Steyn is rested for this fixture.
Young spinners Mason Crane and Brad Taylor remain absent due to injury and all-rounder Liam Dawson is also unavailable due to his England Lions commitments again at the start of this week.
The Opposition:
Lancashire have experienced a difficult four-day campaign so far with one victory from their seven matches far, including four losses.
Liam Livingston’s side suffered a disappointing defeat to bottom side Worcestershire this week, falling short by 202 runs at New Road despite a century from England opener, and they’ll be hoping to turn their fortunes around on Monday.
