Match Preview: Southern Vipers v Central Sparks, Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy

Southern Vipers continue the defence of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy against Central Sparks at Hove on Saturday

Southern Vipers will look to continue their unbeaten start to this year's Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy when they face Central Sparks at Hove on Saturday.

Georgia Adams' side secured a comfortable seven-wicket victory against the South-East Stars last time out, picking up their second win of the competition following their opening day success against Lightning, and will be hoping to put in another good performance on Saturday.

Team News:

The Vipers have named a 13-player squad for Saturday's fixture.

Ella Chandler and Gemma Lane are the two additions to the squad from last week's victories, coming in for Paige Scholfield (thigh) and Lauren Bell (groin) who remain sidelined through injury.

Danni Wyatt continued her excellent start to this year's campaign, striking her second half-century in as many matches and she'll be aiming to carry that good form into Saturday. Charlie Dean, Georgia Elwiss and Adams have all made contributions with the bat so far this season too and will be important to the side's chances of capturing a third competition victory.

Charlotte Taylor led the way with the ball against South-East Stars last week, picking up 4-21 against Tash Farrant's side. She is likely to feature prominently again alongside fellow spinners Wyatt and Charlie Dean whilst Tara Norris will lead the new-ball seam attack.
