Southern Vipers head to good old Sussex by the sea for their final group stage match of the Charlotte Edwards Cup.
They return to the south coast with one win and one defeat from their away road trip to Leeds via Birmingham having lost a close-fought contest against Central Sparks at Edgbaston by just seven runs, before a stunning victory against the Northern Diamonds by 16 runs as Anya Shrubsole took Vipers-best figures of 4-18.
The Sunrisers are yet to win a match in this year’s Charlotte Edwards Cup, having lost all six of their matches, but the London & East region did get one over on the Vipers in this season’s RHFT curtain-raiser at The Ageas Bowl with a mammoth victory of 126 runs – their first ever in the 50-over competition.
Wednesday will be the first time the two sides play each other in the Charlotte Edwards Cup.

Charlotte Taylor returns to the squad, subject to a fitness test.
