Match Preview: Southern Vipers v Thunder, Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy

Southern Vipers continue their Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy campaign against Thunder at The Ageas Bowl on Sunday

Southern Vipers v Thunder
Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy (50-over)

Sunday 11th September (10:30am Start)
The Ageas Bowl

Southern Vipers return to The Ageas Bowl for the first time in over a month, as they face fifth-placed Thunder in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.

Friday's scheduled fixture against Western Storm was postponed out of respect for the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, as the United Kingdom enters a period of national mourning.

The ECB confirmed yesterday afternoon that tomorrow's match will go ahead as planned with all players and coaches wearing black armbands, with the national anthem being played before the scheduled start.

Georgia Adams' side will look to continue their unbeaten run in the women's regional hub competitions this year, having won six out of six in the Charlotte Edwards Cup, and currently sit top of the table with four wins from four games in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.

Thunder meanwhile will be without England stars Kate Cross and Sophie Ecclestone, but will be fighting hard to get up into the top three to make it into the knockout places.

Southern Vipers Squad

The Vipers have named an unchanged 13-player squad from Friday's postponed match against Western Storm.

Lauren Bell, Maia Bouchier, Freya Kemp, and Danni Wyatt are unavailable on international duty for England against India.

Anya Shrubsole remains sidelined with injury.
