The Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy returns for the first time since the Southern Vipers won the Charlotte Edwards Cup, with the Vipers travelling to Chelmsford to take on the Sunrisers.
The Vipers lost their previous RHFT match to Central Sparks in Hove, with Ella McCaughan top scoring with 59 as she continued her strong start to the season.
Sunrisers’ match against Thunder was abandoned after just 15 overs at Sale CC, with Eva Gray picking up the only two wickets to fall.
The home side will be without both all-rounder Grace Scrivens, who is captaining England A, and spinner Mady Villiers.
Southern Vipers Squad
Southern Vipers have named a 13-player squad for their first RHFT match since winning their second Charlotte Edwards Cup.
Lauren Bell, Maia Bouchier, Charlie Dean, and Danni Wyatt are all unavailable due to being included in England Women’s Ashes IT20 squad.
Georgia Adams and Linsey Smith are also unavailable due to selection for England A.
Academy players Ava Lee, Abi Norgrove, and Megan Sturge all enter a first XI squad for the first time.
Wicket-keeper Chloe Hill returns to South East Stars on loan.
