Match Preview: Surrey v Hampshire Hawks & Gloucestershire v Hampshire Hawks, Vitality Blast

A 14-man squad has been named for Hampshire Hawks' upcoming Vitality Blast fixtures against Surrey and Gloucestershire

After finding themselves on the wrong end of a tense final-over thriller against Middlesex on Tuesday, Hampshire Hawks will be looking to register their second and third victories of this year's Vitality Blast when they face Surrey at The Oval on Friday and then Gloucestershire at Bristol on Sunday.

James Vince's side looked to be in command at the halfway stage last time out having posted 215-6 at Radlett, but an outstanding chase from the home-side saw another hard-fought effort end in defeat for the Hawks. Positive performances against both Surrey and Gloucestershire are much-needed as they look to add valuable points to their South Group tally.

Surrey have been in fine form to begin the campaign having won all three of their fixtures so far to sit third. Gloucestershire have stuttered to begin this year's tournament with two points claimed from their first three matches so far.

Hampshire Squad:

A 14-man squad has been announced for both of this week's remaining fixtures.

Promising top-order Academy batsman Toby Albert joins Ian Holland and Chris Wood, alongside the final XI that featured against Middlesex, in the travelling party.

Joe Weatherley has made key contributions with the bat to begin the competition with 134 runs at an average of 33.50 to his name, whilst Mason Crane has been equally impressive with the ball, picking up eight wickets at 15.50 apiece from his four appearances - the duo will be crucial to the Hawks chances of success in both contests.
