Hampshire Men travel to south London to face reigning champions Surrey in the second round of the 2025 Rothesay County Championship.

Ben Brown’s side completed a five-wicket win at home to Yorkshire in their opening match, with Tom Prest’s 57 the standout performance of the chase, whilst Brad Wheal picked up his best figures for the club in red ball cricket since 2016.

Surrey got their campaign underway with a draw against Essex at Chelmsford where they were forced to follow on.

Ben Foakes made 92* and 50 with runs from Rory Burns (73) and Dom Sibley (66), but their bowling attack could only take six wickets as the 2019 winners piled on the runs.

The last time the two sides met, Hampshire completed their biggest ever innings victory, winning by an innings and 278 runs at Utilita Bowl as Ben Brown piled on a career-best whilst Kyle Abbott and Felix Organ claimed five wicket hauls.
