Surrey v Hampshire Women
Metro Bank One Day Cup
Thursday 24th July (10:30am start)
Guildford
Hampshire Women return to 50-over action against Surrey at Guildford tomorrow.
Georgia Adams’ side last played in the Metro Bank One Day Cup back on 19th May, before the Vitality Blast.
The Rose and Crown currently sit top of the table with six wins from their eight matches, with Surrey in fifth having won three games.
Hampshire will be buoyed by the signing of Ellyse Perry, who will feature in both One Day Cup matches following the Blast.
Perry made an instant impact in Hampshire colours as she picked up a wicket with her very first ball and smashed her first ball faced with the bat to the boundary.
She also made a composed half-century against Birmingham Bears to follow up a score of 44 against Somerset
Surrey smashed through the Vitality Blast and having topped the table, go straight into the final on Sunday 27th July on home turf.
In their previous One Day Cup game, they beat Essex by 14 runs at Chelmsford thanks to fifties down the order from Kalea Moore and England’s Ryana Macdonald-Gay before four wickets for leg spinner Dani Gregory.
Hampshire Squad
Hampshire have named a 13-player squad for their return to 50-over action.
Maia Bouchier returns from international duty, but Linsey Smith and Lauren Bell are rested.
Australian legend Ellyse Perry is set to play her first match in the Metro Bank One Day Cup.
All-rounder Mary Taylor has twisted her ankle and is unavailable whilst Ella McCaughan is continuing her recovery from injury.

Surrey
Captain: Bryony Smith
Head Coach: Johann Myburgh
The big questions: Surrey’s predecessors, the South East Stars, were consistently one of the strongest sides in the country, but only had one Charlotte Edwards Trophy to show for it. Will some exceptionally smart new signings in Grace Harris and Danni Wyatt-Hodge help them convert a series of second and third-places into silverware?
Player to watch: Harris is the kind of player who could take the women’s game in England to an entirely different level. World-class with bat and more than useful with the ball, her influence on the younger players could be pivotal.
Young gun: Tilly Corteen-Coleman was The Hundred’s youngest-ever player when she made her debut for the Southern Brave last year, aged just 16. Born in the hospital next door to Kent’s St Lawrence Ground, she was part of the Stars’ academy and instantly looked at home in the first team.
Final thought: Surrey have plenty of star quality with England players Alice Capsey, Sophia Dunkley, Danni Wyatt-Hodge and Ryana MacDonald-Gay no doubt eager to get to work back in domestic ranks after they were on the winter tour to Australia.
Squad: Bryony Smith (captain), Alice Capsey, Kira Chathli, Priyanaz Chatterji, Tilly Corteen-Coleman, Aylish Cranstone, Alice Davidson-Richards, Sophia Dunkley, Tash Farrant, Phoebe Franklin, Danielle Gregory, Charlotte Lambert, Emma Jones, Ryana MacDonald-Gay, Bethan Miles, Alice Monaghan, Kalea Moore, Paige Scholfield, Jemima Spence, Alexa Stonehouse, Danni Wyatt-Hodge.
