The Blaze v Hampshire Women

Women's Metro Bank One Day Cup

Sunday 4th May (10:30am start)

Trent Bridge

Hampshire Women continue their travels with a trip to Trent Bridge as they take on The Blaze.

Hampshire are the only unbeaten team in the competition having tied once and won twice in their opening three fixtures.

They go into the match off the back of a record-breaking chase against Lancashire, where Ella McCaughan’s career-best 133* and 77 from Maia Bouchier helped the Rose and Crown successfully pursue 293 – the highest total ever to be chased down in English women’s List A cricket.

All six Lancashire wickets that day fell to spin, with Charli Knott taking 2-42 and Georgia Adams 2-52 with their off spin, whilst Linsey Smith and Nancy Harman both picked up a wicket each.

The Blaze meanwhile defeated Warwickshire at Edgbaston in their last match, with Sarah Bryce top scoring with 52 alongside 38s from England opener Tammy Beaumont and Ella Claridge.

Swing bowler Kathryn Bryce claimed the second five-for of the competition with 5-38 as the Bears were bowled out for 211, with left-armer Grace Ballinger picking up 2-29.
