Hampshire Men visit Edgbaston as they take on Warwickshire in the latest round of the Rothesay County Championship.

Ben Brown’s men will be looking to put the woes of a heavy defeat at Trent Bridge behind them and get back to winning ways.

Kyle Abbott was by far the standout player in Nottingham with eight wickets and 85 runs in the match, including 5-57 in the first innings and 67 runs off 51 balls in the second.

Warwickshire completed a high-scoring draw in their last match, also at Edgbaston.

The Bears piled on 665-5d with New Zealand opening batter Tom Latham scoring 184 on his debut for the county, against his former employer Surrey, whilst Ed Barnard and Zen Malik also made career-best scores of 177* and 105* respectively.

The Bears are undefeated so far this season, with two wins and three draws as they sit in second place with 79 points to their name.

They’ve had to fight though – success by one wicket against Durham where new signing Ethan Bamber launched a six down the ground to win the game, and a battling draw against Nottinghamshire after being bowled out for just 93 in their first innings.

Tom Latham started his career as a Bear in emphatic fashion, whilst Australian Test all-rounder Beau Webster is true to his role as he picked up a wicket with both pace and spin against Surrey.

Olly Hannon-Dalby is ever reliable with the ball whilst Bamber has had an electric start to the season with 18 wickets, whilst Ed Barnard is currently Warwickshire’s leading run scorer with two centuries and a fifty to his name.
