Hampshire’s Pre-Season Calendar Confirmed
Hampshire’s men and women will be going on tour in March with trips to Stellenbosch and Desert Springs, and five warm up matches
Hampshire Cricket has agreed for batsman Michael Carberry to join Leicestershire on a loan deal for the remainder of the 2017 season.
The 35-year-old will be available for Leicestershire’s Specsavers County Championship fixture against Kent beginning on Monday (28th August), before returning to Hampshire to be available to play for James Vince’s side at NatWest T20 Blast Finals Day.
Following next Saturday’s T20 finale at Edgbaston, Carberry will then return to Leicestershire where he will be available to feature in their three remaining four-day fixtures of the season.
Michael is obviously keen to play regular red ball cricket and will have this opportunity at Leicester. We wish him well and look forward to welcoming him back for Finals Day.
