Hampshire players selected in England Women Pathway squads
England Women have announced the Performance Programme intake U19 Training squad for the 2025/26 winter, with a total of five Hampshire players included.
Mohammad Abbas has been in scintillating form during Southern Punjab’s ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy campaign in his native Pakistan.
The fast bowler missed the opening two games of the competition, before coming in for their draw against Sindh where he took two wickets in the first innings and three in the second innings to finish with match figures of 5-96.
After taking just a singular wicket in the following match, Abbas has hit top form in the past two games.
Against Northern he picked up a five-wicket haul in their only innings of the match, before taking another in the very next match – a brilliant 5-50 on his way to match figures of 7-104.
Southern Punjab currently sit 5th in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy having drawn five and losing their remaining two, with Abbas’ 18 wickets the fifth most in the competition so far.
Their next game began today against Balochistan.
