Utilita Bowl is the home of Hampshire Cricket and Southern Brave, whilst also being a host venue for England Cricket internationals.

In 2024, Hampshire Cricket finished second in the Vitality County Championship, reached the knock-out stage of the Metro Bank One Day Cup and hosted seven action-packed Vitality Blast fixtures as Hampshire Hawks.

Southern Vipers went into their final season as the ‘Vipers’, reaching both Charlotte Edwards Cup and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy semi-finals.

Southern Brave Men finished Runners-Up in The Hundred after hosting four spectacular double header matchdays at Utilita Bowl with the Women’s side in July & August.

Both England Men & Women hosted sold-out IT20 cricket at the venue based just outside Southampton. England Women welcomed New Zealand, before England Men hosted Ashes rivals Australia.

In 2025, England return for three international fixtures, including Men's fixtures against West Indies and South Africa, as well as England Women hosting India.

Monday Moments: Abbott and Stevenson's Ninth Wicket Partnership

Tail-enders add more than a hundred runs against Surrey at the Oval

Hampshire travelled to the Oval in August for a fixture lodged between the entire Vitality Blast schedule.

Having won the toss and chosen to bat on a flat wicket, it looked as if the away side were struggling at 234-8, Ian Holland the only batsman to go past fifty.

Enter Ryan Stevenson, making his first-class debut for the County.

Stevenson (51), alongside fellow bowler Kyle Abbott (72) managed to add 114 runs for the ninth wicket, scoring his maiden first-class fifty in the process.

The partnership put Hampshire in a strong position finishing on a first innings total of 367, making it worthy enough of a 'Monday Moment'.
