Monday Moments: Dawson Century Leads Recovery

All-rounder leads recovery effort with a century after a slow start against Somerset in the Specsavers County Championship in September

Somerset arrived at the The Ageas Bowl in September 2019 chasing a first Specsavers County Championship title.

James Vince won the toss and elected to bat but Somerset made a fast start. So much so, that when Liam Dawson arrived at the crease the scoreboard read 18-4.

The World Cup winner set about making amends and when he was done he had 103 and Hampshire 196. His innings included twelve boundaries and set the stage for a win which looked unlikely when he made his way out to the middle early on Day One.
