Keeper-batter Joseph Eckland and all-rounder Daisy Mullan will leave Hampshire Cricket on the expiration of their contracts
The 2019 season got underway with Hampshire facing eventual champions Essex in the County Championship at the The Ageas Bowl on Friday 5th April.
Hampshire's batsmen racked up 525-8 over the course of the first two days - with Sam Northeast (169) particularly impressive.
Late on Day Two it was the bowlers turn to get in on the action and it didn't take long for Fidel Edwards to make his mark.
Fidel did for opener Browne before bad light stopped play and then picked up four more Essex scalps on Day Three - finishing with first-innings figures of 5 for 51.
Edwards went on to pick up three more wickets in Essex's second innings with Hampshire eventually winning the season-opener by an innings and 87 runs.
