Monday Moments: Tom Alsop's Career Best

Tom Alsop struck his first class high score (150) in Hampshire's County Championship match against Warwickshire at Edgbaston in May 2019
We’re kicking off each week in style as we celebrate a special moment from the 2019 season every Monday.
Tom Alsop struck a career best (150) in Hampshire's County Championship match against Warwickshire at Edgbaston in May 2019.

Hampshire made the trip to the Midlands without skipper James Vince and in the midst of a mixed start to their County Championship campaign - a win and a loss from their opening two matches.

Sam Northeast - captaining the side in Vince's absence - elected to bat first and Alsop, batting at three, was in before the tenth over was completed but a further 100 overs passed before he was eventually dismissed with the scoreboard reading 336-8, having compiled 150 from 317 balls.

Alsop's knock included 23 boundaries and set the platform for a comprehensive Hampshire win, with the visitors eventually running out winners by 314 runs.
