Hampshire Royals v Yorkshire Carnegie, Twenty20 Cup Final, 25th August 2012

Ten years ago today, Hampshire Royals won the Twenty20 Cup against Yorkshire Carnegie at Sophia Gardens.

Having defeated Somerset in the semi-final earlier in the day, Hampshire won the toss and elected to bat in the final.

Jimmy Adams (43) and James Vince (36) high scored as the Royals reached 150/6 from their 20 overs.

A clinical bowling display followed with all five Hampshire bowlers amongst the wickets, including three in the final over from Chris Wood.

Although David Miller scored an impressive 72 not out, Yorkshire fell ten runs short as Hampshire went on to lift the trophy.
