Andrew Flintoff hit a blistering 104 from 91 balls as England scored 251-7 in the rain-affected Champions Trophy quarter-final match against Sri Lanka at The Ageas Bowl.
The all-rounder's innings were filled with typically graceful power, including nine fours and two maximums.
Flintoff was well supported by Trescothick (66), and Collingwood (39) as England pushed to a competitive total from their allotted overs.
In reply, Flintoff starred with the ball taking two wickets for only 21 runs, one of which was the dangerous Sanath Jayasuriya.
England were eventual victors by 49 runs on the Duckworth Lewis method.
