Aneurin Donald (57), Aiden Markram (61) & Sam Northeast (51*) - Somerset v Hampshire, Royal London One-Day Cup (South Group) – 5th May 2019
A hat-trick of half-centuries from the top-order saw Hampshire run out seven wicket winners over Somerset at Taunton in the group stages of the Royal London One-Day Cup on this day (5th May) in 2019.
The hosts won the toss and elected to bat but a superb bowling performance (Abbott 3-36, Dawson 2-41 & Crane 2-49) saw Somerset dismissed for just 216.
A fast start by openers Alsop (24) and Donald (57) in reply meant Hampshire never looked troubled and Somerset's modest total was chased down in the 32nd over.
The result saw Hampshire move top of the Royal London One-Day Cup's South Group and secure a home semi-final against Lancashire.
Hampshire and Somerset would meet again in the competition's final but unfortunately it wouldn't be such a positive result for Hampshire at Lord's.
