Neil McKenzie (89*) - Gloucestershire v Hampshire, Twenty20 Cup - 10th June 2011

Hampshire - 2010 T20 winners and reigning champions - travelled to Gloucester on this day in 2011, having won all four of their opening matches in that year’s competition, but batting first were soon 10-2.

Jimmy Adams (22) supported Neil McKenzie in a 51-run partnership and after Adams went, Ervine (21) and Mascarenhas (17*) gave further support to McKenzie who finished 89* from 53 balls, in a Hampshire total of 165-4.

Gloucestershire started well enough, but no-one dominated like McKenzie with Alex Gidman top-scoring on 43*, and with two wickets each for Cork, Wood and Briggs the home side finished 10 runs short of victory.
