Nottinghamshire Outlaws v Hampshire, Natwest T20 Blast, 3rd August 2014
Hampshire made the trip up to Trent Bridge to take on Nottinghamshire Outlaws in the Natwest T20 Blast quarter-final, on this day in 2014.
The hosts won the toss and elected to bat, which seemed to be a decision that would pay off.
They only lost two wickets and Alex Hales, Riki Wessels and Samit Patel all made half-centuries as they finished on a strong 197/2, putting them in the driving seat at the halfway point.
However, led by a high class knock from captain James Vince (93*), Hampshire put together a successful run chase reaching the daunting target of 198 with an over to spare.
It ensured Hampshire's place at a record fifth consecutive T20 Finals Day.
