Utilita Bowl is the home of Hampshire Cricket and Southern Brave, whilst also being a host venue for England Cricket internationals.

In 2024, Hampshire Cricket finished second in the Vitality County Championship, reached the knock-out stage of the Metro Bank One Day Cup and hosted seven action-packed Vitality Blast fixtures as Hampshire Hawks.

Southern Vipers went into their final season as the ‘Vipers’, reaching both Charlotte Edwards Cup and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy semi-finals.

Southern Brave Men finished Runners-Up in The Hundred after hosting four spectacular double header matchdays at Utilita Bowl with the Women’s side in July & August.

Both England Men & Women hosted sold-out IT20 cricket at the venue based just outside Southampton. England Women welcomed New Zealand, before England Men hosted Ashes rivals Australia.

In 2025, England return for three international fixtures, including Men's fixtures against West Indies and South Africa, as well as England Women hosting India.

Opening Day of County Championship Action At Uxbridge Abandoned

The playing surface was deemed too wet for any play on the opening day of Hampshire's contest with Middlesex at Uxbridge.

The opening day of the Specsavers County Championship Division One clash between reigning champions Middlesex and third-placed Hampshire was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to unfit playing conditions at Uxbridge Cricket Club.

Heavy rain on Monday evening ran down the slope at the Park Road sports complex and crept under the covers and sheets leaving umpires Graham Lloyd and Russell Evans with little option but to call things off after their second inspection at 11am.

Groundstaff had used heat lamps and a 'Supersopper' from the early hours in a bid to improve conditions but their efforts proved useless in the face of sodden conditions and heavy waterlogging.
